This isn’t the first time I’ve seen my words in print, but it is the first time I’ve seen them in print with my name on the byline. See, as a PR gal in DC you often end up ghost writing OpEds, guest columns and quotable quippy lines that are attributed to the boss or the client. As such, I’ve seen my stuff in print more than a few times, but there’s something exciting about seeing your own name in print tied to something you either said or wrote.
Recently, I was asked to contribute a visual food diary for a publication called District. Designed and produced by the talented folks at Design Army and edited/contributed by the fine ladies of Refinery 29 DC, it’s a really beautiful, fun magazine that highlights the best of the U Street/14th Street/Logan Circle neighborhoods.
Here’s a list of all the places you can pick up a copy – and check my food diary/top picks for the neighborhood:
- Redeem
- Taylor
- Peregrine
- Good Wood
- Saint Ex
- Bar Pilar
- Commissary
- Miss Pixie’s
- Muleh
- Mitchell Gold/Bob Williams
- Ben’s Chili Bowl
- Birch & Barley/ChurchKey
- Room & Board
- Cork Market
- Vastu
- Current Boutique
- Home Rule
- Plan b Gallery
congrats! I’ll be sure to check out a copy on my next visit to Miss Pixie’s.
Awesome! Hope I can pick up a copy before my trip!
Can’t wait to go pick up a copy!
Congrats! So excited for you.
Congrats A, you’re making it to the big time. Let’s hope Thought Catalog comes through too.
