My super-fun friend Lacey (pictured here), who is a Top Chef fan and happens to have a high threshold for embarrassment, decided she wanted to talk to Mike…and I decided I wanted a picture for the blog. So we chased him down the bar to harass him in the most un-stalkerly way we knew how. Mike simply smiled and looked down and was completely gracious about our sudden bombardment. He eventually came around from behind the bar and snapped this shot for us.
The rest of the evening was fun and filled with some seriously tasty food. Twelve of us ordered what felt like every plate of mezze on the menu…but a real stand out was an order of whole fish (Friday it was sea bass). Blink and this fish was gone (see evidence at right). It was buttery, light and DELICIOUS.
Everyone loved the mezze, the bread and I may have fell in love again (this wasn’t my first trip) with the fruity olive oil and the fish (OH the FISH!). Go there. Do that. Soon.
